Purpose of Job:
Work with company stakeholders to hire, train, develop, and retain a high performing and agile workforce while embodying a foster a culture to support it.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates a collaborative approach and exceptional communication at all levels of the organization; champions a culture that supports our values; supports employee growth and development. Promotes employee safety as first priority. Possesses knowledge of employment law, organizational behavior, change management, best practices, and company policy.
Personnel Information Management: Maintains accurate data in HRIS system (e.g. new hires, transfers, promotions, title changes, rate changes, etc.) as well as paper and virtual employee records. Responsible for the maintenance of confidential employment files.
Benefits: Creates and monitors annual open enrollment and changes due to employee qualifying events. Conduct monthly audits of the benefits enrollment and works with our broker to ensure we are getting the best rates and coverage for our employees.
Time & Attendance: Assists managers in monitoring and troubleshooting Time & Attendance system and employee accruals. Tracks all leaves of absence in compliance with applicable laws.
Payroll: Serve as liaison between employees and payroll team by verifying benefit plan deductions on bi-weekly pay registers and providing documentation for ad hoc pay changes for employees as needed.
Budget and Billing: Collects, Codes, and submits department invoices as assigned in web-based systems, processes department credit card expenses, and reconciles departmental costs compared to budget.
On-Boarding & Orienting: Coordinates and performs new hire orientations.
Performance Management: Partners with supervisory staff to ensure assignment of performance goals. Prepares the system and communicates to the organization in regards to Performance Evaluations. Coaches supervisors on goal-setting and delivering performance feedback as appropriate.
Compliance: Responsible for compiling data for audits, inclusive of benefits, recruiting, and compensation. Support Compliance Officer in various Compliance Program initiatives and communications.
Employee Relations: Assists employees with policy information and interpretation of Company policies and procedures. Facilitates interventions when necessary to promote a positive experience for all employees. Conducts formal investigations of policy violations when necessary.
Employee Recognition: Supports Employee Recognition Program by compiling award nominations and assisting in the execution of awards ceremonies. Creates and monitors employee anniversary award program for accuracy and timely program execution.
Employee Development: Schedule and Facilitates classes in accordance with corporate curriculum, assembles (or orders) class materials, and administrates aspects of scheduling, record keeping, and reporting related to internal/external training as necessary, including processing and coding related payments.
Job Requirements Skills:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources which required familiarity with state/federal laws and best practices. Experience with Ultimate Software preferred. Employee relations experience preferred. Must possess proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in field related to Human Resources preferred
Certification: SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR pref
